Six women from Northern Ireland and Scotland are preparing to put their best face forward tonight in a new dating show with a difference. Each week, six girls from Northern Ireland and Scotland — Patricia, Mando, Ali, Sean, Michaela and Pamela — embrace a unique dating experience going on five dates with five different guys, completely make-up free. The remaining women watch the dates unfold from the comfort of their sofa — providing supportive and humorous commentary throughout.
First up is hairdresser, single-mum and self-confessed romantic, Patricia from Derry who admits she hides her true self behind make-up to boost her confidence. Each of the five suitors have been specially matched to Patricia but she can only take one to dinner and hopefully make a lasting love connection. RTE are struggling to find Cork people, especially men, to appear on their hit dating show ‘Pulling with my Parents’ and producers are now calling for Leeside singletons to come forward. The popular dating show is back for a second series of antics which will see young singles from all over Ireland hand over their dating lives to their meddling parents. If you are sick of swiping, ghosting and disastrous dates then why not give something new a try and hand over the reigns to your parents?
What could possibly go wrong? On last year’s show, we saw parents overhaul their kids’ Tinder profiles as well as trying to find them a date the old fashioned way. One thing we did not see last series however was any Cork participants, but producers want that to change and have put out a call for Leeside men and women to pull up their socks and apply! Shooting for season two will start shortly while following strict health and safety regulations and we spoke to series producer Stu Smith who told us that they are particularly on the look out for Cork lads.

A Derry hairdresser has taken part in a new TV show in which glamorous women go on a series of dates without any make-up. The first of six women to feature on the show is local hairdresser Patricia McCallion who owns Glam Hair and Beauty at Waterloo Street in the city centre. The premise of the programme, which will run for six weeks, is that the women go on dates with five different men without any make-up on.
Patricia said taking part in the show had been an ‘amazing’ experience and that she was proud of herself for doing something so ‘daring’. Find out how Patricia gets on by watching the show at
